The Culinary Institute of America and Millbrook Vineyards & Winery Partner to Create the 24th Annual Harvest Party

Event Showcases Great Food & Wine from the Hudson Valley During the Peak of Fall with Breathtaking Views of the Valley from atop the Estate Vineyards

Hyde Park, NY – The world’s premier culinary college and one of the Hudson Valley’s best-known wineries are working together to produce Millbrook Vineyards & Winery’s 24th Annual Harvest Party on Saturday, October 18. This is the first time that The Culinary Institute of America has teamed up with the winery, and food served during the luncheon will be provided by the from the college’s Hyde Park campus.

Recently highlighted by USA Today as one of “The Top Wine Harvest Festivals for 2014,” Millbrook’s Harvest Party is a long-standing Hudson Valley tradition in the fall, and the inclusion of the restaurants of the CIA offers a new feature for guests. The event will kick off with a special reception beginning at noon, and then guests will enjoy a four-course harvest feast paired with Millbrook’s award-winning wines.

“Guests of the Millbrook Harvest Party have the opportunity to not only enjoy some of the Hudson Valley’s finest wines, but they’ll also be able to enjoy a seasonally inspired menu that was prepared especially to complement the wines,” explains Waldy Malouf, senior director of food and beverage at The Culinary Institute of America. “Through the cuisine served by our professional staff and students, guests will have the opportunity to experience the CIA’s restaurants in an awe-inspiring outdoor location.”

Menu highlights include a first course of Smoked Trout with Horseradish Cream from the CIA’s paired with Millbrook’s 2013 Dry Riesling Proprietor’s Special Reserve, as well as a Wood-grilled Rack of Lamb, as prepared by the chefs of the and served with Millbrook’s 2012 Proprietor’s Reserve Cabernet Franc. will prepare the pasta course for the evening, and the chefs and students of the will be preparing the dessert.

With both Millbrook and The Culinary Institute of America realizing the value of education, the Harvest Party will also feature as guest speakers CIA wine instructors Michael Weiss and Steven Kolpan, authors of book . One signed copy of WineWise per couple or single is included with admission.

Tickets for the Millbrook Vineyards & Winery 24th Annual Harvest Party are $135 per person, or $125 for Case Club members, plus tax. Reservations are required by Friday, October 10, 2014 and can be made by calling 1-800-662-9463, ext. 17.
