    Latin American cuisine continues to fire up the restaurant business, influencing chefs and food sales around the world. If it gets you fired up, this is the concentration for you. Explore the bold, spicy flavors and fresh, healthy ingredients that make it such a consistently popular dining choice. You鈥檒l spend a semester at our campus in San Antonio, Texas enjoying the culture and restaurant scene of this dynamic city as you learn to create authentic interpretations of traditional Latin American food.

    Program Highlights:

    • Understand how Latin cuisine is incorporated into restaurants, caf茅s, hotels, private clubs, catering companies, and retail operations.
    • Study the foods, unique ingredients, and cultural traditions of Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Central America, Caribbean, and other Latin American regions.
    • Learn from expert faculty and visiting Latin cuisines instructors.


    Only students in the Food Business Management degree, Applied Food Studies degree, or bachelor鈥檚 degree completion program are eligible for this concentration.
