    CIA in Hyde Park, NY—A Home for Veterans

    With more than 100 veterans enrolled at our New York campus, CIA is an ideal spot to connect with other men and women of the U.S. military while you earn a valuable culinary arts education. We also offer vibrant student life activities, including athletics, fitness programs, and clubs and organizations that match your interests.

    Location

    Our New York campus, located in Hyde Park, NY (within the Hudson River Valley), is less than two hours from New York City—famous for its acclaimed restaurants and other food and entertainment attractions. It’s also near several other destinations in the Northeast, such as Albany and White Plains, making our campus an ideal place for educational opportunity, professional development, and peaceful recreational activities.

    Housing

    Situated along the Hudson River, the campus offers diverse housing options for CIA students, such as:

    • four residence halls;
    • six Adirondack-style lodges (for juniors and seniors); and
    • townhouses (also for juniors and seniors).

    Employment

    Child Schooling and Support

    Area Medical Services for Veterans

    The Hudson Valley is home to state-of-the-art healthcare facilities and medical services, including two hospitals within three miles of the CIA campus and located 16 miles from the New York campus. To learn more, contact:

    Accident and Health Insurance

    CIA’s Student Accident and Health Insurance Program allows you to receive accident insurance as part of your general fee and have the option of purchasing sickness coverage.     Public Transportation

    The CIA New York campus is located near several public transportation hubs, including:

    • railroad service from nearby Rhinecliff and Poughkeepsie to New York City’s Penn Station and many other locations.
    • trains depart from Poughkeepsie for New York City’s Grand Central Station and points south.
