Karen MacNeil Brings “Become A Wine Expert Taster—In 90 Minutes” to The CIA at

Napa, CA – Karen MacNeil, well-known author of one of the best-selling wine books in the U.S., The Wine Bible, will come to this summer and fall to teach her dynamic class “Become a Wine Expert Taster—in 90 Minutes.” MacNeil is considered one of the top wine educators in the country. This is the first time she will offer this class to the public.

“In an hour and a half, I reveal insider wine concepts that took me five years to learn on my own,” says MacNeil. “Learning about wine should be like wine itself—fun and fascinating. And the new CIA at is the perfect place to hold such a class.”

“Become a Wine Expert Taster—In 90 Minutes” will debut Friday, June 29, at 6 p.m. and will then be offered the last Friday of each month (July 27, August 31, September 28, November 2, and November 30) through the fall.

“Karen MacNeil has been an authority in the wine industry for decades, and we are thrilled to have her as a consumer educator for this exciting series at ,” said Maryam Ahmed, assistant director of public programs at the CIA.

After the class, students can explore The CIA at ’s stunning facility, including its new state-of-the-art Hestan Kitchen, , , and gardens, or dine at (participants will receive a discount at the restaurant on the evening of the class).
