The CIA Honors Veterans

All Who Served our Nation Receive Discounts at Campus Restaurants for Veterans Day

Hyde Park, NY 鈥 The Culinary Institute of America was established in 1946 to assist World War II veterans joining the post-war workforce. As a 鈥淭hank you鈥 to all who have served in the armed forces, the CIA is offering special deals at its campus restaurants in Hyde Park, NY on Monday, November 12, the day Veterans Day is observed this year.

鈥淭he CIA is proud to have an opportunity to give back to our veterans,鈥 says Waldy Malouf, the college鈥檚 senior director of food and beverage operations. 鈥淲e are delighted to continue the mission of our founders to educate and support our men and women in uniform.鈥

Veterans dining in the and Restaurants will receive a complimentary meal (reservations required). At the , , and at the Ristorante Caterina de鈥 Medici, current and former service members will receive 25 percent off their meal. No reservations are required for these three options.

In addition, veterans are welcome to visit The Egg student dining venue in the Student Commons on campus, where they can receive a complimentary meal of up to $15.

These discounts are valid for both lunch and dinner on November 12. Alcohol is not included. Reservations can be made by calling 845-451-1011 (American Bounty) or 845-451-1012 (Bocuse) or by visiting .

The CIA鈥檚 commitment to America鈥檚 service members goes back to its founding, when the first class of students consisted of World War II veterans studying with the support of the original GI Bill. For more than 70 years, the college has worked closely with all branches of the U.S. military, providing culinary training for active service members and college education for those beginning their post-military careers. Dozens of students who have served on active duty in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard currently attend the CIA, many with the assistance of Post-9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program benefits.
