Each year for the next five years, the CIA will award three Chef FIRST Merit Scholarships valued at $16,000 each for qualified* applicants desiring to enroll in a full-time four year culinary arts program. There鈥檚 also the potential for an additional $3,000 in merit awards based on CIA alumni recommendations and strong SAT/ACT scores.
These three scholarships are to honor the film , co-producer and , and director and actor for their contributions in elevating chefs in film-making and American society, as well as capturing the culture of a professional kitchen with a rare measure of authenticity and artistic integrity.

*Qualifications include being accepted as a full-time student at The Culinary Institute of America, a CIA alumni recommendation, appropriate SAT or ACT scores, and an essay of the importance of story-telling and visual arts to the culinary profession.
