Bill Reidy is vice president of advancement at the Culinary Institute of America. In this role, he is responsible for spearheading the college鈥檚 philanthropic initiatives, helping to ensure that the college continues to provide a world-class education for the future leaders of the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. He also oversees the college鈥檚 alumni office.
Most recently, Reidy was vice president of advancement for the non-profit Come to Believe, helping higher education institutions welcome low-income, first generation, and Pell grant-eligible students to their campuses. Prior to that, he spent seven years as vice president of advancement for Sacred Heart University, where he played an integral role in the university鈥檚 enrollment and facilities expansion, while setting records for funds raised, alumni participation, and community engagement. Earlier in his career, Reidy was managing director with Changing Our World, Inc. supporting clients including St. Patrick鈥檚 Cathedral and St. John鈥檚 University. He also served as both director of admissions and major gifts officer at New York鈥檚 Xavier High School.
Reidy also brings hands-on restaurant experience鈥攁nd a passion for food鈥攖o this position. His father and grandfather ran Reidys Restaurant in New York City, and he spent many hours working in the kitchen under the head chef鈥攁 CIA alum鈥攚ho imparted lifelong lessons about the intricacies of communication and working together toward a common goal.
Reidy holds a BA in History from the College of the Holy Cross.
