Ready, set, go! With the sound of the horn blaring, runners and walkers alike set off on the 12th Annual Run for Your Knives 5K Marathon. Every year, students can look forward to this massive event held during CIA Alumni weekend where students, alumni, and the campus community rally together to raise funds for CIA student scholarships.

As soon as the race finished, participants were handed gift bags full of products from our sponsors, Sabatino Tartufi Truffle Salt and Crown Maple Syrup. Over $80,000 was raised in scholarships and awarded through raffles to participants as a culminating highlight of the marathon event. As the raffles unfolded, an electric sense of camaraderie enveloped the crowd. Anticipation hung in the air and an air of eager enthusiasm swept through the students.

Scholarship donations came from local businesses, large corporations, and even alumni. Some notable donors were brands such as San Pellegrino, Bimbo, and Blue Apron. As well as graduates Lis and Sal Pennisi ’73. As winners came and went one thing was certain, none of this would have been possible without our generous donors, sponsors, and alumni. Thank you!
